My introduction into the fascinating world of photography came when my Dad
gave my a Kodak Brownie Bullet camera that took 127 film and when I got the first roll of film back , the die was cast. I was hooked for life.
Those first images were of a beached schooner on Cranes Beach in Ipswich Ma,that love affair with photography began then and has continued unabated for more than 60 years.With time out for WW2, skippering a small coastal freighter running the Bay of Fundy and the coast of Maine. And several other professions but using in part my photography for the creation of both advertising and promotional books
My interest in and love of the craft of photography has taken many different forms over the years from an early snapooter,newspaper reporter- photographer.chief photographer for a short lived magazine,part time teacher of the craft,lecturer for several camera clubs , manger of the camera shop andinterspersed several other lines of endeavor including documentary photographer for two wooden boat building projects to the tune of 6,800 images and staff photographer for the Topsfield Fair, Newburyport Off Shore Boat Races and the NY State Woodsmens Field Days
I have belonged to many Photo organizations,including Photographic Society of America,Yankee Photographic Society camera clubs in Maine,New Hampshire and Massachusetts and several professional and international photography organizations including the NH Association ofPhotographic Artists.
Recent Photo trips to enlarge the body of my work included Quebec's Gaspe , and theGanets of Bomeventure Island, Nova Scotia's Cabot Trail,East and West Coast, New Brunswick,NC outer banks, the Cherahala and BlueRidge Parkway, Baxter State Park , Nova Scotia's Cabot Trail,East and West Coast, New Brunswick,NC outer banks, the Grand Caynon, Monument Valley Yellow Stone and the Grand Tetons, , New Brunswick,NC outer banks, the Grand Caynon, Monument Valley Yellow Stone and the Grand Tetons, plus The NorthEast Kingdom in Vt. And fall in the White Mts of NH.
I am planning several trips in 2010 to fledge out the body of my work thru out theour season. And numerous day trips around the New England area to add to the more than 100,000 images already in my files
